This boutique firm is looking for someone who will play a strategic role in supporting and optimizing the day-to-day operations of the firm as Director of Human Resources and Operations for a temporary mandate. This person will ensure the management of human resources for the administrative staff as well as operational coordination, in order to promote a high-performance, inclusive and sustainable organization.

Tasks
Human resources
- Manage recruitment, onboarding and departures;
- Write and publish job offers for assistants and support staff;
- Organize interviews and participate in the selection process;
- Implement a welcome and integration plan to facilitate the entry into the position;
Development and monitoring
- Organize training for administrative staff (e.g. digital tools, stress management and communication);
- Conduct regular performance follow-ups with administrative employees;
- Identify opportunities for internal progression;
- Manage the annual evaluation process in line with the company's strategy;
- Define and monitor a clear performance management framework including measurable objectives and indicators;
- Monitor individual and collective performance and propose adapted development plans;
- Promote the recognition of performance within the administrative team;
Labour Relations
- Intervene in the event of interpersonal conflicts or communication problems;
- Support managers in the application of HR policies;
- Provide ongoing support to administrative staff;
Policies and Compliance
- Update the internal policies applicable in their respective field;
- Ensure compliance with CNESST standards and legal obligations in terms of work;
Human resources
- Disciplinary management;
- Supervise disciplinary processes in collaboration with stakeholders;
Operations
- Manage special projects in collaboration with the partner in charge;
- Manage the archiving process of files, both internal and external;
- Ensure the proper functioning of reception services, mail, etc.;
- Manage relationships with suppliers (stationery and housekeeping) as well as IT suppliers in collaboration with the IT committee;
- Control the budget related to administrative operations;
- Ensure consistency between administrative operations and the firm's strategic objectives;
- Manage security and development with stakeholders;
Event
- Ensure the follow-up of the calendar of internal events while ensuring that budgets and deadlines are respected;
- Plan and organize internal events according to the pre-established schedule (cocktail party, annual retreat, Christmas dinner, etc.).
Desired profile
- University degree in human resources management, administration or related field;
- 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in HR coordination and/or operations;
- Excellent organizational skills, discretion and sense of service;
- Mastery of technological tools;
- French required and knowledge of English;
- Experience in a law firm or professional firm (strong asset).
Conditions
- A temporary position until April 2027 on a full-time basis, in lieu of maternity leave (35 hours per week);
- A day work schedule from Monday to Friday;
