A company located in the Northeast of Montreal wishes to integrate a human resources assistant or coordinator into its team. This person will provide support to the department to ensure the proper functioning of HR, maintain records and ensure compliance with company policies.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Take charge of recruitment: postings, screening, interview guides, references, job postings, and communications to candidates.
- Support payroll administration by verifying timesheets, monitoring attendance, and coordinating with payroll staff for accurate processing.
- Implement a structured onboarding process: checklists, documentation, onboarding plans, responsibilities and follow-ups with new employees.
- Support management and managers in day-to-day HR files related to their manufacturing and unionized environment, while ensuring rigorous documentation and consistent application of practices and the collective agreement.
- Structure the different steps and documentation: checklists, letters and templates, exit interviews, access closure, employee files and coordination with payroll.
- Ensure the follow-up and administrative coordination of temporary foreign worker files, in collaboration with external partners.
- Update and formalize policies and procedures so that they are clear, applicable in the field, and in line with the company's obligations.
You ideally have:
- Experience or education in human resources;
- Experience in a manufacturing and unionized environment;
- Excellent ability to manage multiple projects and files simultaneously;
- A lot of autonomy, rigor and an excellent sense of priorities;
- A good knowledge of the rules and standards applicable to Quebec employers.
Experience with temporary foreign workers is an asset.
