A small and friendly municipality located in the Haut St-Laurent is looking for an accountant who can ensure the sound and efficient management of the municipality's financial resources, for a replacement.

Your main tasks will be to:
-Plan, coordinate, develop and participate, in collaboration with the department directors, in the preparation of the annual budget and the three-year capital plan and budget monitoring;
-Direct the preparation of annual taxation, collection of revenues, payment of expenses and borrowings and ensure proper accounting of all financial transactions;
-Act as a designated official, submit recommendations, collaborate in the drafting and application of taxation and pricing by-laws, contract management, budget monitoring and controls, debt management and any other accounting and tax operation of the municipality, in accordance with public sector accounting standards;
-Supervise the finance team composed of 2 employees.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting
-5 years of experience in the municipal field
-Demonstrated management and leadership skills
-CPA designation (asset)
-Knowledge of Sygem software (asset)
